The Great Orchestral Shooting Star Experiment

Blissful notes expel from the orchestra
Become shooting stars
Skimming above the trees
Becomes an overhead bazaar

Above violins and other instruments
The nocturnal sky breathing, reaches its peak
An enchanted orchestral galaxy
We came and gathered to seek

Like fireworks displayed
With notes entwined play in the gust
A conductor’s composition flung
Through the colored constellation over us

Fireflies like darting sparklers glow
As we saunter through the meadow’s land
A breathtaking array
For fear of missing more, we ran

Chasing harmonies we still hear
Surging in our hearts aware
You hum the orchestras’ sweet song
Now drawn have I, into your stare

Your expression now reflects the intensity
Of this great orchestral star experiment
For from you now
Shines the orchestral sky’s blissful sentiment

Moongaze And Dream My Darling

Cast your gaze to the sky my little one
It has finally risen
Skirting above the hills
Be quick my Darling daughter
Grab the rising moon
Shake it ‘til dreams, beams and moon dust fall

We will run through the field just you and me
The air sweetened with honeysuckle
Under the Lord’s radiant awning of moonlight
Hold tight to the basket we brought
And will we gather them all in

We’ll sprinkle moon dust on moonbeams
And let them navigate us through the Milky Way
Taking us up in a swirling swoon and whoosh!
Off we go, adventure awaits, so do your dreams
Your nightgown flows and long hair shimmers
From the burst of our shooting star

We do not speak, we do not need to
Your eyes, your glances and smiles tell me everything
I see you breathing it all in
Close your heavy eyelids my Darling
I will lay your head on your pillow

I will kiss you on your forehead and pray over you
Tucked in, your basket laid next you
The night is still young
Adventure still beckons and awaits you
Enjoy My Darling, my little one, Enjoy!

Honeysuckle Insomnia

Honeysuckle aromas draw me
Filling in my room where I lay
Spring time spells arrival
Keeping summer at bay

The chirp of a mockingbird
Goes on through the dawn of night
Does she ever sleep?
What is her joy she employs so trite?

So bright this light the moon
Arcing backwards, east to west
I will walk the call of the hills
This nocturnal trail at my behest

A silvery sheen shadows everything
From chaparral that mantles the hillside
To rocks aglow
Maybe I’ll follow where moon shadows go

Days become lengthy
But now night and light rules the sky
How can this be I ponder
In the back of my mind’s eye

Should I yearn and return to my bed
Retire to my sheets
And leave the hills here
Or should I amble onward, the dawn to meet

And I Asked Of Autumn

And I asked of autumn…
Where have you been?
Preparing to put summer to bed
Birthing winter for nature’s nap
Was her respond

And I asked of autumn…
Would you not stay the year?
Her reply, has not our Lord created the seasons?
Then I would not be what I am to you now
Was her respond

Again I asked of autumn…
What do you behold for me this season?
Temperate mornings for clement crisp daybreaks
Twilights of blazing crimson to meander under
Soothing arrays of colored moods
I convey anticipation threading the air

My hand I offer thee
That we may stroll as one
My epoch also will fade and demise for a time
Let’s celebrate this time that God has bestowed on us
Create reminiscences, recollections of harvest pasts enjoy
Carpei Diem…was her respond
